Where Do We Go From Here?
I know a lot of you will understand the feeling many of us have this week- anger, uncertainty, sadness. The results of the 2024 election left us all feeling a sense of confusion and shock- a lot like how we felt in 2016. The thing we all feared has sadly become our reality again and this time feels worse than the last. So how do we move forward? We organize, we fight, we support and love each other, that’s how.
Recognizing the privilege I hold, I am committed to using it not as an advantage, but as a responsibility—standing up for what is right and amplifying the voices of those who need support the most, especially in the face of injustice.
As You Are came into my life when I needed it most, and now I want to be that support for others. Now is the time to come together and stand up for the rights of those who are at risk. It's easy to make bold promises in moments of pressure, but I want to make a genuine commitment to you all: I will strive to be a trusted resource and ally in the fight for fairness/equality/righteousness.
The AYA team has gotten right to work on a list of resources linked here. The list is ongoing and will be updated frequently. If you know of any organizations that should be included, please send them our way.
With love and empathy,
Analisse
