Love letter to october

I used to thrive in the summer

A child of the depths of June

The heat was an excuse to be outside

The ocean was my own personal weighted blanket

(it still is)

Loving that first chill in the air feels like selling out

But October is a love I never saw coming

My obsession with Halloween was has always been my brand

But October is a love I never saw coming

The weather is moody

The air is spooky

The leaves are transitioning as we speak

October, I love you, never change
